Monday-Friday: About Our Homework
Math: Homework in math will cover topics I am currently teaching and topics to come. I like to make sure the students are still practicing skills that were previously taught and are getting ready for ones to come. This homework comes directly from the Go Math workbook and will need to be returned the following day.
Reading: On Monday, your child will receive their weekly reading assignment. They will need to work on it each day and turn in their completed work on Friday.
Spelling: Your child will receive a spelling list on Monday that they will work with throughout the week. They will have a spelling test on Friday.
R.E.D. Folder: Your child will need to practice reading orally on a daily basis. They should be reading about 30 minutes every day from a book that they choose. This should be logged in the R.E.D. Folder on a daily basis. You can find books online, at the library, thrift stores, etc.
Oh No! I Lost My Homework!
I understand that situations do occur where homework may get misplaced or ruined by a younger sibling. I encourage the students to be careful with their homework. I want them to learn to be responsible and take ownership of whatever may happen to their homework. I will not print extra homework or provide another math worksheet.
